How this website handles your information.

This notice covers the maisonandliaison.com website: what it collects, where that goes and how long it stays. It is written plainly because that is how I would want it explained to me.

Browsing the site

Reading these pages asks nothing of you. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site's own address, so viewing a page does not load resources from third-party services.

Requesting a consult

If you use the consult form, you choose to tell me which services interest you, how you would like to work together, your name, your email address, the area you live in, a preferred time of day and, optionally, a short note. Please keep that note to tasks and preferences; the form does not ask for, and you should not include, codes, passwords or account details.

When you press Request consult, those details are sent securely to this website's server, recorded in the site's own database so that no request is lost, and forwarded by email to Maison & Liaison so I can reply. They are used only to arrange and prepare your consult. They are not sold, shared for marketing, or added to any list you did not ask for. If an email forward fails, the recorded request is retried automatically; the record is what I work from.

Consult requests are kept while we are arranging or carrying out the work, and removed when they are no longer needed or when you ask. To have your request deleted or corrected, reply to the email you receive from me.

Hosting and server records

The pages, the form endpoint and the database are hosted by Cloudflare. Serving a page means Cloudflare's servers receive each request, terminate the encrypted connection, apply caching and protections against abusive traffic, and may keep technical records of the request such as the requesting network address, the page requested, the time and browser details. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. To limit abuse, the form endpoint counts requests per network address for a short window; it does not store your address with your request.
